Project Overview
FWA is supporting a major UK Utilities organisation operating across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, and Berkshire in the migration of its IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platform from an on-premise environment to a cloud-based solution. The programme includes data migration, process transformation, application modernisation, integrations, and cloud adoption, with Oracle serving as the underlying database platform.We are seeking experienced consultants and specialists to join the programme on a 12 contract, commencing August 2026, with the potential for extension.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Asset Management Project Manager to lead workstreams within a large-scale IBM Maximo cloud migration programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, governance, stakeholder management, risk management, and delivery of project activities across business and technology teams.
The role will focus on ensuring a successful transition from the existing on-premise Maximo environment to a cloud-based solution while minimising operational disruption to critical utility services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of EAM and Maximo migration workstreams.
- Manage project plans, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Coordinate business, technical, infrastructure, data, and testing teams.
- Facilitate governance forums and steering committee meetings.
- Ensure programme milestones are achieved within agreed timelines.
- Manage third-party vendors and implementation partners.
- Coordinate cloud migration, cutover, and go-live activities.
- Provide regular reporting to programme leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Support change management and business readiness activities.
Mandatory Skills
- Proven experience managing IBM Maximo or Enterprise Asset Management projects.
- Experience delivering cloud migration programmes.
- Strong project governance and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
Preferred Skills
- Utilities industry experience.
- Knowledge of Oracle-based enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
- PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, or Agile certifications.
